​The Baxter County Conservation District in celebration of Earth Day 2024 sponsored a Coloring/Poster Contest for 2nd and 5th graders in Baxter County Schools.   The following students received cash awards for their entries:

Mountain Home - Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary: Pictured from left to right - 2nd Grade Winners: Sophie Rails (2nd Place), Kennedy Gonten (1st Place) and Mary-Grace Lunday (3rd Place).

Mountain Home - Hackler Intermediate: Pictured from left to right – 5th Grade Winners: Alivia Garner (2nd Place), Bradley Tilley (1st Place) and McKenzie Snyder (3rd Place).
